Kellie Martin is an American actress and filmmaker most well-known for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Other notable roles include the lead role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store owner as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her career in acting at the young age of seven years old when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children, helped her land an appearance in the series of 1982 "Father Murphy.". Following after her Yale University graduation, she began to concentrate on acting. She was able to get major roles on both cinema and television. Martin was also as a dancer and photographer. Mother of two daughters Martin is the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness of the illness each day following the passing of her sister, who was age 19.
